This sensational season opens with Barbara Cook’s Broadway. The legendary Barbara Cook has delighted audiences around the world for more than fifty years and has been the recipient of a Tony, a Grammy, named as a Living New York Landmark and inducted into the Broadway Hall of Fame. Following her illustrious career in Broadway musicals, Cook began a creative partnership with musical director and arranger, Wally Harper, launching her second career as a concert and cabaret artist. Soaring from one professional peak to another, Cook’s shows have included the celebrated Mostly Sondheim, Its Better with a Band and Barbara Cook at Carnegie Hall. For one week only, Barbara Cook’s Broadway celebrates these experiences on stage with anecdotes, showbiz gossip and musical hits from the golden era of Broadway - written by the likes of Irving Berlin, Rogers and Hammerstein, and Stephen Sondheim.

 

Then, Michael Feinstein brings his one-man show to the West End for two weeks. Having spent six years as an assistant to Ira Gershwin, Feinstein has become one of the foremost interpreters of American popular song performing at leading venues from the Hollywood Bowl to Carnegie Hall. Accompanied by a six-piece band, Feinstein will perform a selection of Gershwin’s greatest songs and feature music from his double CD Romance on Film/Romance on Broadway.

 

Following is Michael Ball performing his one-man show, Alone Together. Ball’s glittering stage career, spanning a decade, includes hits such as Les Miserables, Divas at the Domnar and most recently, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. With over 100 songs, Alone Together is a magical opportunity to experience the breath-taking talent and diversity of Britain’s leading musical star. 

 

Rounding off this exceptional season is world-renowned

composer and pianist Joshua Rifkin, introducing soprano Ida Faiella in At The Theatre. Joshua Rifkin has won international acclaim for his performances of music ranging from Monteverdi to Stravinsky, Bach to Strauss and Mozart to Gershwin. Having founded The Bach Ensemble in 1978, Rifkin ranks among the world’s foremost interpreters of Baroque music and, as a remarkable pianist, he is also credited with reawakening the world to the elegant and captivating charm of the rags of Scott Joplin. Joshua Rifkin and Ida Faiella unite for the first time in the West End. Their partnership has seen them perform many times together in New York and internationally. They will present an evening of American Musical Theatre, including songs by Stephen Sondheim, Gershwin, Porter, Frank Lessor,
